If you are new to Mobile Strike, you may overlook a very important aspect of the game called Challenges located to the right of your base screen. Challenges award you with Free Gold, VIP points, and more.
(You pay the same amount, we get 1% of that amount to help fund the site if packs are bought within 24 hours)
It should be noted that the strategies mentioned here work better for lower headquarter levels. As you advance further into the game, the challenge rewards usually do not offset the cost of gold or speedups. In addition, this guide is written for free players who do not wish to spend much into the game. By following these tips and guidelines, you will have a much higher chance of winning and completing challenges for those much loved tier 3 rewards.
The general tiers of the challenge is based on your Base level and Power. The higher the level your headquarter is, the harder the challenges will be and offer potentially much better rewards. As you move up in tiers, the range of your challenge points can start to vary.
It should be noted that at each of the troops tier unlock, the difficulty and rewards will significantly jump. These levels are
HQ Level 1-6
HQ Level 7-14
HQ Level 15-20
HQ Level 21
The points needed for the challenges also based on the general completion rate of the players within the game. For example, as more players have the ability to complete the challenges, the developer usually either up the points requirements, or worsen the rewards as part of the balancing factor. Some of the harder challenges in an old server at HQ level 21 can take millions of points.
Most of the challenge require 1 or the other of the following tasks, or both. You will need to get power from research and building, or from troops training.
1. Power from Research and Building
2. Troops training
To succeed in challenge completion, you need a combination of time reduction items as well as speed up to complete them.
The challenge rewards are divided into three tiers. Higher tier challenge completion grants additional rewards. Consider checking our Construction Speed, Research Speed, and Training Speed guide to help you find ways to reduce those timers to gain points much faster.
Once in a while, you may also receive challenges that require you to score points in Shooting Range. Consider checking out our Shooting Range and Full Auto guide for a detailed strategy.
Other than the usual research, building, and troop training. Some other challenge requirements include the following:
Gathering resources from resource tiles to earn points.
Farm and Attack Rebel Targets to earn points.
Known as KE, killing or destroying other player’s troops to earn points.
Gaining power in general to earn points, this also includes healing troops from hospitals and trap building.
Types of Mobile Strike Challenge
Extreme challenge is where the best money is at. It resets every hour on the hour and requires a bit of strategic planning. The extreme challenges typically require much higher points than the basic challenge.
The alliance challenge is calculated based on all the points being contributed by the alliance members. Everyone will receive gift boxes when the targets are met. You need to at least contribute 1 point into the alliance challenge to receive the gift box reward.
In basic challenge, it usually has much higher time frame between 4~6 hours and much lower point requirement. However, the rewards given are much weaker.
The state challenge is based on the contribution of the entire state versus the entire game world. The winning state will have special gold mine spawns throughout the map in the few hours after the victory.
Combination of Speed Up and Timer Reduction Strategy
One valid strategy for faster challenge completion is by focusing on a specific type of timer reduction boost and speed ups to profit from the challenge rewards.
The most used reduction type is Troops training reduction because it is much more flexible. The second popular choice is research timer reduction because of the usually high timer for the research.
Once setup and planned, the last piece of the puzzle is Resource management. You want to make sure that you have enough resources to go along with your planned research and upgrades.
Extreme Challenge Tier 3 Completion Strategies
Consider planning ahead so that all three areas of challenges all finish around the same time. For example, setting up a major research to end at the same time as your troops and buildings. Your goal is by having all points earned within the same hour, to boost you into Tier 3 easily and even into the leaderboard rewards, without much of the gold invested into Speed Up’s.
Consider Finishing Early for Guaranteed Rewards
Because not all extreme challenge asks for the same things in troops training or building. Sometimes you may wish to use speed up to aim for Tier 3 completion. For example, if you have planned for tier 3 completion at 4:00 pm, but you can use speed up to finish at 3:00 pm while it offers decent rewards. Consider to go for it, instead of waiting for 4:00 p.m. for a chance of nothing.
Spread Out Smaller Completions for Tier 1/2 Rewards
If you do not have the resources or speed up to quickly get yourself to Tier 3 rewards. Consider aiming for the hourly tier 1 or even 2 completions. Try to see the minimum requirement of the rewards based on your previous challenges and you can get an idea.
The goal is not to have any wasted training, building, or researching that do not contribution to a challenge that you are currently going for, or will go for.
After a few successes you can spend those winnings to land on a Tier 3 reward. Aim for the tier 3 rewards whenever you have a big research finishing is key.
