New players typically run into a common question about how to setup their resource buildings. We have written this easy to understand guide to help you setup your resource buildings correctly. It should be noted that RSS is typically short for “Resources”.
(You pay the same amount, we get 1% of that amount to help fund the site if packs are bought within 24 hours)
Before we go into the different setups. We will first note the first divergence of a resource plot setup. That important resource is Food. As you build up your armies in Mobile Strike, you will most likely run into food issues no matter how many farm plots you build (without the proper upkeep reduction and production boost in place).
Because of such reason, the difference setup can occur the most is with farm plots. We will first go through all of the setup strategies including balanced, partially balanced, and hyper RSS. In general, the more imbalanced your rss plots are, the more likely that you will need an active alliance to continue building and advancing. However, a combined rss generation effort in an active alliance can typically outweigh a group of balanced builds.
There are a total of 25 resource plots in the game. You should dedicate 1 of the plot to build out gold mines as it is one of the easiest way to earn free gold. However, if you are a spender who plan on buying gold with your money, consider “not” having build a gold mine and get an additional resource building instead.
In addition, any time you start heading in the direction of imbalanced resource buildings, you will typically need the support of your alliance members for the resources that you might require, especially to rebuild your army after being attacked by other players.
Beginner’s Resource Setup
6 in all resource plots
This should be your defacto beginner’s resource setup because it is the easiest to maintain. You will constantly get the resources you need at the same speed, which makes you versatile and easy to rebuild after being attacked. Consider yourself a jack of all trades that can assist alliances
Minimal Farm Setup
1~2 Farm Plots
This setup is desired if you have other people in your alliance that can act as your food bank, or if you have second alternative accounts to generate your food. It is much easier to rebuilt if an enemy player has zeroed your base compared to the extreme no farm setup.
Extreme No Farm Setup
0 Farm Plot
This extreme no food setup is great if you do not plan on doing anything to manage your food intake. However, you must be prepared to spend money from time to time to get those needed food resources. Or you should almost have secondary farm accounts to next you or an active alliance bank.
After you have decided the playing style with your resource building setup. The next step is to determine the “spread” of the other resources.
Beginner’s Resource Setup – Even Production
The first option is beginner’s option where you spread out all the resource buildings evenly, after the farms or the gold mine.
Double Resource Setup – Troop Specialization
1~2 Resource Plots on Secondary Resource
Split evenly of the main resource.
You generally should focus on 1 of the troops type as your “main” troop in Mobile Strike. Each troop type requires 2 specific resources. For example, if you pick Infantry as your main troop, you will want to focus on Oil and Iron as your main resource. In this case, you should probably reserve 1~2 plots to the third resource building.
Infantry: Oil, Iron
Tactical: Stone, Oil
Armored Vehicle: Stone, Iron
Single Resource Farm Setup – Hyper RSS Focused Specialization
1~2 of all resources
Rest a single resource building
This rss plots strategy is also the so called hyper RSS. You will focus on generating one type of “hyper rss” with the help of commander skill boosts as well as the rss generating item boosts. You will spec your skills in a way that produce 1 single type rss.
You will generally use this build if you are creating secondary alternative farm accounts, or if you are in a really active alliance with alliance banking system in place. This setup is great because the base can be specialized with farming gears and research, as well as timed production boosts with items. However, this is also the hardest setup that may require the most resource management and transfer.
If you do decide to go with this build, generally build for either Oil or Iron as the other two resources are less sought after in most alliances.
